We're working on an exciting, new offer for your Jamendo Licensing customers. We'll be releasing more details about this soon, but in the meantime, you can already make sure that your content can be eligible for it.
Our goal is to build a pool of tracks that are safe to use on the following social media: YouTube, Facebook & Instagram. YouTube is the most important platform of the three.
If you've registered your content with YouTube Content ID (either through Jamendo or another YouTube Content ID provider), your customers are not benefiting from the best possible experience. It means that whenever they upload a video containing one of your works, they receive a Copyright Infringement Notification resulting in:
- Ads being displayed on their video
- The monetization of the video being blocked
Though customers can contest those claims, the process is frightening, tiresome and frustrating. Depending on the company you're using to perform YouTube Content ID, the claims may even in some cases never be removed, which is a problem when the customer is a legit one.
To make your content eligible for this new Jamendo Licensing offer, you'll need to either:
1) Do YouTube Content ID through Jamendo (How to Sign Up). This will allow us to build up a process automatically releasing the claims of your Jamendo customers. If you're selling your content through other libraries, do not worry, we're making sure to release the claims of your customers as soon as any sort of license is presented (invoice, certificate, email of confirmation, etc.). Signing Up for YouTube Content ID will now allow you to benefit from a 100% share on the generated revenue as long as confinement lasts.
2) Warranty us that your content isn't registered with YouTube Content ID at all
In this second case, simply contact us at support@jamendo.com so that we can make you sign a special amendment.
We're happy to answer any of your questions!
