What is a good track name?

You have written it, recorded it, mixed it, and mastered it, yet you’re stuck on its title? We are here to help! 

Of course, we won’t tell you exactly HOW to name your track :) This is part of your creative process. 

However, here are some simple tips on how to make your track name look clean and professional. 

1. Do not include your own artist name in the track title. Believe us, a lot of artists do it and it looks messy. 
2. If any artists other than yourself are featured in the track, put them in brackets right after the track’s title. Use the word “feat.” before their artist names. For example: “My Song (feat. My Brother and His Cat)”. 
3. Ideally, your track title will have something to do with the music, lyrics, its emotion or atmosphere. Think of the track name as the packaging of your track. Would you want to open this, or to click on this?
4. Do not use an online random name creator. Well, we’re sure you know this already :)  
5. Don’t forget to have fun! Good titles have a chance of becoming iconic over time, so spending some time playing with words can be worth the effort.
6. Bounce some names with your friends and family. Observe their reactions and see what clicks.

In summary, keep in mind that along with your artist name and the artwork you choose, the track name is one of its key characteristics. It will make your audience think: “Yes, I want to click on it and listen to the music!” or “No, this does not look interesting”. In other words, it can be the difference of someone falling in love with it or never even listening to it.
